HO Scale Stringer Stock
One Piece, 24" Long Basswood, Cut to Model a 3-Ply Bridge Stringer

HO Scale Stringer Stock makes it even easier and quicker to build timber bridges and trestles. 3/16" x 5/16" x 24" basswood is slit down the length so it looks like three individual 3/32" x 3/16" pieces of wood, laminated together with scale 2" spacers between them.

Now you can skip the tedium of building up your stringers and waiting for the glue to dry overnight. This great material will put you one day closer to laying your track and getting that train running.

In HO Scale: three 8" x 18" timbers, spaced 2" apart

LEFT - Unfinished stringer stock. RIGHT - Stringer stock that has been stained with Black Bear Water based acrylic stain.


FOR ADDED DETAIL - Cut notches where the timbers would meet. Install NBW's (P/N GL-5066) near the joints.	Use a piece of track to align where the stringers go. The stringer should line up directly under the rail. Long pieces of stringer stock can be used for straight trestles. Attach the stringers to the trestle top cap.	For a curved trestle, miter individual sections between the trestle bents. Once again, keep the stringers lined up with the rails.
