Wally built this complex combination of bridges and trestles with the Black Bear S Scale Trestle Jig, the Black Bear S Scale Deck Bridge Jig and the Black Bear S Scale Truss Bridge Jig.

This panoramic shot shows the string of trestles and bridges Wally built. There is a small deck bridge on the far left. The truss bridge on the left is an "in-line" tension rod design. The truss bridge on the right is a "beam straddling" tension rod design.
|
This is a fixture Wally built to construct the double bent to support the left truss bridge. The top caps of those two bents are not at the same height. The long 1/4" x 1/4" strips are to space the two bents apart. Notice the deck bridge in the background - it is shorter than the regular kit.

This is the left truss bridge. Notice the plywood "Trestle Buddy" substitute. The sticks glued on the top are for lining up the trestle bents.
|
Notice that the rightmost, double bent is skewed to line up with the track passing under the truss bridge.
