This is the recommended NBW for modeling the bolts and washers on N and HO scale trestles. It models a 5-1/2" diameter washer in N scale and a 3" washer in HO scale.

There are 15 sprues of Grandt Line 5066 NBW's (GL-5066) in this package. Each sprue has 35 NBW's on it. That's 525 NBW's! That's enough to put one every place it is needed on the Black Bear TJ-5LHO, five leg trestle.

A good looking alternative to NBW's is to mix up several high viscosity acrylic paints (i.e. Liquidtex that is sold in tubes.) to produce a rust color. Apply the paint with a toothpick. With a little practice you can attractively represent the bolts or spikes with a lot less time and money.
