Building a Series of Bridges The easiest way to create a series of bridges is to assemble each bridge section on the same piece of bottom chord. This may result in a compromise on the bridge width because they are not all the same width. Be sure and maintain a minimum of 14 scale feet inside clearance in standard gauge. At Step 1 of the Assembly Instructions, leave the bottom chord sticking out of the ends of the jig. When one section of bridge is completed, move the bottom chord down and build the next section. Cut the shoes long enough to cover the span between the bridges. Other types of bridges, or a section of trestle, can be inserted between the bridges to create a really interesting effect. |
